37th GCC Summit milestone event in joint action -- Bahraini min.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, Dec 5 (KUNA) -- Bahrain's Information Affairs Minister Ali Al-Rumaihi has stressed that the 37th GCC Summit to be held Tuesday is a historic event in the progress of Gulf march.

This came in Al-Rumaihi's statement to reporters after inaugurating the summit's media center late Monday.

The summit is also a new push to pursue the GCC comprehensive development, and protect the identity, security and stability of member states, he added.

It is an honor for Bahrain to host the summit of GCC leaders, he noted.

The summit reflects the depth of historic bonds and the unity of religion, language, blood and destiny of GCC states, he made clear.

He expressed his pride as more than 350 journalists representing 25 GCC, Arab and international news agencies and press and media establishments will cover the summit.

The media center features editorial units, wired and wireless telecommunications networks, radio and TV studios, video, editing and production rooms in addition to media stands showcasing GCC related books and publications.

It was inaugurated in the presence of GCC Assistant Secretary-General for Cultural and Media Affairs Khalid bin Salem Al-Ghasani, heads of media delegations, GCC ambassadors and leading Gulf, Arab and international diplomatic, press and media personalities. (end) mgh.kna.hm
