Qatar elected Vice-President of FAO Council


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Rome: The State of Qatar was elected as Vice-President of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO)'s Council during the opening of the 155th Session of the FAO Council, held at its headquarters in Rome on December 5-9.
The election of the State of Qatar as Vice-President of the FAO Council confirms its special role in FAO's work and continued support of the Organisation's policies and great humanitarian role in the fight against hunger, poverty and malnutrition faced by poor countries or countries with low incomes and resources.
