LawWorks Deploys Lexis Visualfiles to Help Improve Access to Justice

(MENAFNEditorial) Lexis Visualfiles enables more efficient and effective delivery of pro bono legal services

LONDON, U.K., 05 December 2016 - LawWorks, the Solicitors Pro Bono Group, a charity working in England and Wales, has deployed Lexis® Visualfiles™, from LexisNexis® Enterprise Solutions, across its casework programmes. LawWorks is now using Visualfiles as its central repository of all cases and matters, automating case management business processes to facilitate efficient administration and delivery of their pro bono legal advice services.

LawWorks chose to replace a number of disparate applications with Visualfiles because of its advanced workflow capabilities, its scalability to accommodate the ever-expanding demand for pro bono activity, and its easily customisable business processes.

"The profile of pro bono has rarely been higher, and the contribution of the legal profession in dedicating time, expertise and commitment possibly never greater. At a time of increasing demand for legal advice, LawWorks has been exploring ways to improve internal systems to make more efficient use of resources and ultimately increase capacity to support individuals and not-for-profit organisations," elaborated David Raeburn, Director of Programmes at LawWorks. "We recognised that a robust technology platform was critical to this. Visualfiles helped us to do this. We are delighted that LexisNexis has chosen to support our cause, not only by supplying and deploying the technology, but also committing to help us develop, deploy and maintain the system for the long term."

LawWorks has integrated Visualfiles with its customer relationship management system to ensure accuracy of all client data. The solution has also enabled the organisation to automate case-related document management processes, reducing the time spent on administration.

"LexisNexis is passionate about supporting the Rule of Law around the globe. There are thousands of people in the UK who do not have access to justice and we are delighted to be able to do something tangible to support LawWorks," explained Andy Sparkes, General Manager at LexisNexis Enterprise Solutions. "LawWorks is a fantastic organisation that is delivering a truly meaningful service to facilitate greater access to justice - we're delighted to support them as part of our pro bono efforts, and together we can make a real difference to those in society with the greatest need for legal advice and representation."

The Rule of Law, in its most basic form, is the principle that no one is above the law, including the law makers themselves. LexisNexis has, at the very core of its strategy, the central objective of advancing the Rule of Law. The company is committed to playing a positive role in the community and becoming an authoritative voice in "higher order" legal and risk management business issues that are foundational to the advance of the Rule of Law and the well-being of citizens and businesses.

Lexis Visualfiles is the most widely used legal workflow and case management system in the UK, with more than 26,000 registered users in firms ranging from five to over 1,000 employees. It is a proven, flexible and powerful entity-based system that allows firms to control their business processes. The solution's unique rapid application development capabilities empower organisations to customise the system to easily and quickly accommodate new market developments and changing business requirements.
