GCC Voice Radio launched

MANAMA, 5th December, 2016 (WAM) -- The GCC Voice Radio has started broadcasting from the Kingdom of Bahrain. The new radio service will run until Thursday, on the sidelines of the 37th GCC Summit, which will be held in Bahrain on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The GCC Voice Radio broadcasts its programmes from the headquarters of Arabian Gulf Radio, which was launched on 23rd November in Bahrain.

Bahrain News Agency, BNA, quoted Younis Salman, Radio Bahrain Director, as saying, "Presenters and media staff from the GCC member states and the General-Secretariat will take part."

In a statement to BNA, Mr. Salman said that the new service would unify the voice of all GCC radios during the summit and highlight people's aspirations and hopes pinned on the summit."

The GCC Voice will broadcast a number of programmes which address political, economic issues, in addition to dialogue programmes, news and media coverage.
