(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman met HE Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kuwari, Adviser at the Emiri Diwan and Qatar's candidate for the post of director general at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco), in Kiev on Friday.
During the meeting, they talked about the Qatari candidate's vision for the advancement of Unesco. Groysman appreciated Qatar's role in the fields of education and culture, wishing al-Kuwari success.
The meeting also discussed Qatari-Ukrainian bilateral relations, where Ukraine prime minister expressed the desire to develop these relations especially in investment, trade, education and culture sectors.
HBKU to host Education City Career Fair
Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) has invited companies and organisations across Qatar to participate in the third Education City Career Fair to be held on February 6 and 7.
The annual initiative, hosted at the Student Centre, HBKU aims to provide undergraduate and graduate students in Education City with the opportunity to engage with prospective employers, building valuable connections between industry and education, with participants representing both the public and private sectors in Qatar.
The event is being organised in collaboration with HBKU's eight partner universities: Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar, Texas A & M University at Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar, Northwestern University in Qatar, HEC Paris in Qatar and UCL Qatar.
At the event, students and alumni will have the opportunity to collect information about positions, and inquire about internships, sponsorships, and full-time jobs.
