Sharjah Police Officers and hundreds of students make UAE National Day at University Hospital Sharjah a celebration to remember


(MENAFNEditorial) University Hospital Sharjah celebrated the unprecedented achievements of the nation, at its premises which showcased a number of grand festivities that symbolised the pride of residents, nationals and expatriates. UHS boosted national pride with live music performed by a band composed of more than thirty Sharjah Police Officers. Hundreds of children then performed a choreographed folk dance while wearing costumes adorned in UAE colours and a marched in harmony in national military uniforms. It was particularly heart-warming to see how the festivities uplifted the spirit of the patients, who were outdoors and in a joyous mood. The celebrations were organised in the gracious presence of HE Abdullah Ali Al Mahyan, Chairman of Sharjah Health Authority and Chairman of Board of Trustees at UHS, and HE Abdul Aziz Al Muhairi, Director of Sharjah Health Authority and Vice Chairman of UHS Board of Trustees. In addition, members of the Executive Administration, physicians, nurses and hospital employees attended the glorious celebration. HE Abdullah Ali Al Mahyan, Chairman of Sharjah Health Authority and Chairman of Board of Trustees at UHS, said, “On this important occasion we extend our warm greetings to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank all members of the supreme council of the nation as well as UAE nationals, residents and expatriates. National Day is a perfect reason to celebrate the nation’s dynamic achievements, confirming University Hospital Sharjah’s commitment to the nation’s vision. We would like to express our devotion to our nation’s growth and the well-being of its people.” A memorable component of this year’s celebration included an eye-catching display of antique vehicles at the hospital entrance. As a special treat, a cake-cutting ceremony was arranged for the guests. Gifts and certificates were distributed to the patients in the Majlis, which was setup in the lobby and traditional food made and served with national pride. The patients were extremely happy to be part of the occasion.
