UAE participating in third session of Global Consular Forum

SEOUL, 26th October, 2016 (WAM) -- The UAE is currently participating in third session of the Global Consular Forum (GCF), which is being hosted by the Korean capital, Seoul.

The UAE delegation is headed by Ahmed Ilham Al Dhaheri, Assistant Under-Secretary for Consular Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The UAE presented the working paper on the achievements of the ministry in the service and happiness of citizens within the state and abroad. The paper also focuses on the best practices to provide quick and better services to the citizens anywhere in the world based on innovative electronic means to give utmost satisfaction to them, especially while roaming around the world.

The paper included the role of partners from government agencies within the state in the provision of services, and their continuous development and improvement efforts in collaboration with the ministry to serve the vision of the UAE to make the citizen happy.

The UAE is a member of the executive committee of the forum, which also includes Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands, the Republic of Korea, Mexico and Turkey.

The event, which began on 25th October and concludes on 27th October, is being attended by 33 countries, international organisations such as United Nations and a number of global partners, which provide consular services. They represent airlines, and the tourism and security sectors.
