Atlantis Resources remains on track

(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - UK) Atlantis Resources Ltd's (LON:ARL) MeyGen tidal power project in the Pentland Firth, Scotland, is on track to have all four turbines installed and connected to the grid by the end of the year.

The update was provided in a Stock Exchange statement, which also revealed the Neptune jack-up rig used to sink the turbine support structures had been successfully demobilised from the site.

'This offshore operation was a resounding success and importantly has validated the use of jack up vessels for the purpose of installing tidal turbine foundations offshore in high flow locations,' Atlantis said.

'The use of a jack-up rig for the installations is significant for the future of the industry offering a flexible and fast installation solution.'

When it comes on-stream MeyGen will be the world's largest tidal project.
