Iran needs USD25b investments in electricity sector


(MENAFN) The Iranian Deputy Energy Minister said that Iran needs USD25b investment in electricity sector by 2021 in order to materialize 5.5% growth planned for the country's electrify generation.

Also, Energy Minister said that USD17b is needed for electricity generation and over USD7.5b is required in transmission and distribution sectors.

However, Iran plans to boost electricity generation capacity to more than 100,000 MW within the framework of the sixth development plan (2016-2021).
