Qatar's GDP grows by 2.5pct in Q2


(MENAFN) Qatar's GDP increased by 2.5 percent in the second quarter of this year compared to the first quarter of the same year.

Additionally, the GDP grew from QR192.97bn in the first quarter of the recent year to QR197.83bn in the second quarter of the same year.

However, the real Gross Value Added (GVA) of Mining and Quarrying in Q2 reached QR99.51bn, showing a decline of 1.2 percent.

Moreover, the decline in the global price of crude oil and related goods drove the Y-O-Y decline in nominal GVA of this sector.
