Debt issuance to drive GCC market performance in Q4


(MENAFN) New issuance of bonds will be a vital driver of GCC market performance and risk in the fourth quarter of this year, which will follow the summer slowdown.

However, new-issue activity in Q3 was slow at first, but jumped closer to the ened of the period.

Moreover, Emaar Properties raised USD750mn from its Sukuk sales in two years, a 10-year issue at a spread of 225 basis points.

On the other hand, Sharjah Islamic Bank issued USD500mn Sukuk with a rate of 3.084 percent.
