334 ships cross Suez Canal with 17.4m tons load


(MENAFN) Suez Canal traffic showed that 334 ships transited the canal from 14 to 20 Oct this year, with a whole load of 17.4mn tons.

Additionally, an average of 47.7 ships crossed the canal per day amid the period, with an average load of 2.49mn tons per day.

Moreover, the number of vessels that passed coming from the west through the northern entrance was 163 vessels with a daily average of 23.28 vessels.

Accordingly, the Central Bank of Egypt proclaimed that the fall of the canal's profits over the fiscal years 2015/16 reached USD5.1bn.
