Kuwait FM meets Arab diplomats in Washington


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Friday received heads of the Arab diplomatic missions based here.

The meeting, held on the fringes of Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled's visit to the United States to co-chair the first Kuwait-US Strategic Dialogue with Secretary of State John Kerry, reviewed a range of regional and international issues of common concern for the Arab countries and the US.

The meeting focused on the need to enhance the Arab-US joint action, serve the common interests, resolve regional crisis and combat terrorist.

The Arab diplomats highly appreciated the audience with Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, saying it helped promote the intra-Arab coordination and the Arab-US cooperation.

The meeting gathered Kuwait Ambassador to the US Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Chief of Staff of Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled's Office Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, and Minister Plenipotentiary and Assistant Foreign Minister for the Two Americas Affairs Rim Mohammad Al-Khaled, as well as a number of senior officials of the Foreign Ministry.
