PM to take part in Jordanian-Saudi Coordination Council meeting

Riyadh, Oct. 19 (Petra)--Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Wednesday, arrived in the Saudi capital Riyadh on a one-day official visit during which he will co-chair with HRH Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy of the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, meeting of the Joint Jordanian-Saudi Coordination Council.

The council is expected to discuss aspects of cooperation between the two countries as well as political consultations and coordination on bilateral, regional and international issues.

Upon arrival at the Saudi Royal Court, Mulki was received by Prince Mohammad, State Minister Essam Bin Saeed and Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Prince Khalid Bin Faisal Bin Turki Al Saud.

His Majesty the King Abdullah and Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz witnessed the signing of minutes to establish a Saudi-Jordanian coordination council in Riyadh during King Abdullah's visit to Riyadh in April.

Following the meeting, the two sides will sign a number of cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding in the fields of investment, industry, trade, finance and media.

The prime minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Investment Affairs Jawad Anani, King's Envoy to Saudi Arabia Bassem Awadallah, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Imad Fakhoury, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ibrahim Saif, State Minister for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani, Finance Minister Omar Malhas, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Bishr Khasawneh, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yaroub Qudah, and Minister of Transport Hussein Saoub.

The delegation also includes Chairman of the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission Khaled Toukan, Chief Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Nasser Shraideh, President of the Jordan Investment Commission Thabet Al Wir and Director General of the Prime Minsiter's Office Omar Mufti.
