Corona Virus hits a Kuwaiti family

(MENAFN- Arab Times)

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30: The ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs have traded accusations on the issue of a Kuwaiti family — father, mother and their son –believed to be suffering from the Corona Virus, reports Al-Anba daily.

The Ministry of Interior denies receiving a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the latter insisted it had informed the former. Giving the details of the case, the daily said the family was in Thailand and had been quarantined after the Thai authorities discovered the family was suffering from the virus. The Thai authorities then informed the Kuwait Embassy in Bangkok and arrangements were made to 'deport' the family.

After the Thai Foreign Ministry informed its Kuwaiti counterpart, the latter informed the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry to prevent the family from mixing with other people upon arrival as a precautionary measure. However, it appeared that the family had succeeded in entering the country but was later referred to the Contagious Diseases Hospital.
