UAE- Step up for heart health, say Bollywood Actors


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) On World Heart Day, September 29, one of India's best dancers, Prabhu Deva, and actor and fitness freak Sonu Sood showed up to represent a month-long awareness campaign for the newly opened RAK Diabetes Centre in Jumeirah.

The healthy cause is also supported by Rabab Al Tajir, the first Emirati Woman international and national car rally driver and navigator.

With the vision of promoting a healthy lifestyle among Dubai residents, the three celebrities graced in the event and shared the reasons for including the best health practices in their routine.

The B-town duo were also in Dubai to promote their upcoming movie Tutak Tutak Tutiya, a horror comedy. Prabhu Deva, who is dubbed the Michael Jackson of India, believes working those dance moves is the best way to remain fit. He gave out the message "dance, dance, dance, your heart beats well". Sonu Sood, who acts alongside him in the film and knows for his action roles in the past, thinks it is very important to respect our own body and his message was "work out regularly and love your heart beat".

On asked how close is Dubai to his heart, Sood said: "All my best films were shot in Dubai, like Happy New Year, City of Life and now Jackie Chan's film Kung Fu Yoga. Whenever I am in Dubai, I don't miss India: it's my second home, so I think I should get a house here."
