German inflation rate jumps in Sep

(MENAFN) German inflation has picked up more than predicted in Sep, reaching its highest level in 16 months.

Growth in the euro zone remains moderate and the 19-member currency bloc has been struggling with little or no inflation due to a plunge in oil prices.

Meanwhile, consumer prices grew by 0.8 percent on the year in Bavaria by 0.7 percent in North Rhine-Westphalia.
