(MENAFN) BlackBerry CEO, John Chen, defended the company's recent announcement that it will outsource its hardware development, and cutting production costs will set the business up for long term growth.
Chen told CNBC that BlackBerry will st ill have strong ties with hardware business.
Additionally, he confirmed that once the hardware design and manufacturing is handed off, the company will see its revenue dropping down, but when the new phone begins to ship, they will naturally pick up.
