The Khimji Ramdas Group gave renewed impetus to initiatives of the Sinbad Children's Mobile Library (SCML) by printing 10,000 copies of the library's latest publications – Rescue Muscat Peacock and Jewel of Muscat.

Nailesh Khimji, director, Khimji Ramdas, said, 'We are pleased to be part of an initiative that resonates deeply with our own philosophy of community support and development. It brings us such satisfaction and pride to assist the SCML in effectively delivering its message to all parts of the sultanate.'

Thanking the Khimji Ramdas Group for their support, Hatim al Taie, chairman of Al Roya's Sindbad Children's Mobile Library, said, 'We are fortunate to have the continuous support of the Khimji Ramdas Group in assisting us both logistically and in publishing, thereby giving our initiatives better reach and greater emphasis. We look forward to their continued support to make the SCML a success.'

He added that the chief motivation for starting the SCML was to reinforce the importance of reading at an age when smart devices occupy much of a child's free time. The SCML's interactive storytelling method, he explained, helps create the interest for reading among its young audiences.

The book Rescue Muscat Peacock by Yasmin Lemos was designed by a nine-year-old girl Anna, while the Jewel of Muscat is written by Anne Bouji anddesigned by Maryam Saif al Sawafi.
