Kuwait- KSE indexes inch down in early trades Monday


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 26 (KUNA) -- Main indexes of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) edged down in early trades on Monday, with the benchmark losing 1.19 points and falling to the 5,409-point level.

Weighted index inched downwards by 0.98 and Kuwait-15 index, which reflects trades in blue-chips, shed 3.93 points.

Meanwhile, value of traded stocks amounted to KD 848.8, share turnover reached approximately nine million, done in 253 transactions.

Kuwait Bourse has been swinging between lackluster to bearish conditions, amid traders' abstention or shifting to other regional bourses for feasible deals.

The KSE market value has been in the range of some KD 23 billion, far below the record level posted before break-out of the global economic crisis in 2008 -- ripples of which reached the domestic and regional markets. (USD=KD 0.301). (end) fh.rk
