Facebook CEO to give USD3b to medical research


(MENAFN) The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative announced its intentions to give USD3b over the next 10 years to help preventing all diseases by the end of the 21st century.

Wife of Mark Zuckerberg, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Facebook, Inc., Priscilla Chan, told an event about her educational experience growing up in a Chinese-Vietnamese family, and experience as a pediatrician and as a mother.

Additionally, Zuckerberg said via his Facebook account: "Today, just four kinds of diseases cause the majority of deaths. We can make progress on all of them with the right technology."
