Kuwait's oil development will feature high in Bahrain's event


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 24 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti oil authorities and corporations will be represented with a high-profile delegation at the 10th Middle East Refining and Petrochemicals Conference and Exhibition (Middle East Petrotech 2016) due in Bahrain September 26-29.

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), sponsor of the event, said in a statement publicized on Saturday that it completed preparations for the event, which it will sponsor along with its subsidiary companies.

Bakhit Al-Rashidi, the KPC Chief Executive Officer (CEO), will chair the convention. The KPC will also take part in an exhibition on the event sidelines, displaying Kuwait's experience in crude production and refining.

For his part, Nezar Al-Adsani, also the KPC CEO, will address the conference with a working paper on impact of the economic recession on oil manufacturing industries.

Al-Adsani, in his speech, will also tackle vital role of the industries, education and governance vis a vis the economic slowdown and the impact in particular on the oil manufacturing industries, with emphasis on the KPC strategy due by 2040 as well as the corporation means of coping with current economic changes.

The KPC participation in the Bahrain activity will contribute to promoting the State of Kuwait as a leading oil producing and exporting country at the global level.

Moreover, the KPC leaders will address the conferees about the Corporation's strategic projects, namely the environmentally-friendly fuel venture, Al-Zor refinery, the major development in the sectors of refining and petrochemicals.

Furthermore, representatives of the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), a main subsidiary of the KPC, will present documents and lecture about its activities.

The industry thought leaders will in general discuss the sector outlook and review technological advancements at the largest gathering of downstream oil & gas professionals in the Middle East.

It is expected to attract over 3,500 attendees over four days. They are expected to utilize the event to initiate new business, learn, benchmark and network with associates from across the globe. (end) mke.rk
