Morocco- Rabat to Host Picasso Exhibition Starting in April


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) The Mohammed VI Museum for Modern and Contemporary Art in Rabat will host an exhibition of the works of Picasso as of the month of April, 2017, president of the Picasso National Museum Laurent Le Bon said Thursday in Rabat.

On this occasion, a hundred of paintings by the famous Spanish artist will be lent to Morocco, he added.

Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), one of the greatest and most influential artists of the 20th century, is known for co-founding the Cubist movement. The total number of artworks he produced has been estimated at 50,000, comprising 1,885 paintings; 1,228 sculptures; 2,880 ceramics, roughly 12,000 drawings, many thousands of prints, and numerous tapestries and rugs.
