UAE- Mohammed bin Rashid attends World Endurance Championships

SAMORIN, SLOVAKIA, 17th September, 2017 (WAM) --- Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) World Endurance Championships 2016 on Saturday, where 136 riders from 46 countries, including the UAE, are participating in the competitions.

He also met with HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain at the championships to discuss the event and ways of supporting the equestrian sport.

The participating UAE endurance team includes H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Sheikh Hamad bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Saif Ahmed Al Mazrouie, and Abdullah Ghanem Al Marri.

Riding for Spain, Jaume Punti Dachs and Alex Luque Moral won the gold and silver medals at the championship, after they finished the race in 06:46:42 and 06:47:32, respectively.

Bahrain's representative, Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, head of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Chief of the Bahraini Olympic Committee, won the bronze medal, finishing the race in 06:49:47
