10 Models Emerged as Winners at the First-Ever Plus Size Auditions Held by Lakme Fashion Week in Collaboration with aLL and Little Shilpa

Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive, 2016 in association with aLL- The Plus Size Store held its first ever plus size model audition formen and women at St. Regis on 29thJuly.

This plus-size show will be styled by designer Shilpa Chavan of Little Shilpaand will be a part of the Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016 to be held at The St. Regis, Mumbai from 24th August - 28th August 2016 jointly organized by Lakmé, the No.1 cosmetics and beauty services brand in India and IMG ReliancePvt. Ltd., leaders in sports, fashion and entertainment marketing and management.

The jury comprised of an eclectic mix of fashion experts and stalwarts of the Indian fashion industry, includingDivya Khosla Kumar, Bollywood Actress and DirectorShilpa Chavan, designer and founder of Little Shilpa Lubna Adams,celebrated fashion choreographerJaspreet Chandok, Vice President and Head-Fashion, IMG Reliance and Manish Aziz, Business Head, aLL- The Plus Size store.

The panel chose10winners after 3competitive rounds of auditions for the upcoming Winter/Festive season.The auditions saw over 160 plus size models from across the country showcasing their best at India";s most sought after model hunt.6 women and 4 men emerged as the winners at the auditions. Payal Soni, Anjana Bapat, Tanvi Ravishankar, Neha Parulkar, Vernika Jain, Amber Qureshi, Anil Pamnani, Kais Sundrani, Arpit Handa and Rajiv Bhasin will now be seen walking the ramp for the first ever Plus size show at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016.

Divya Khosla Kumar, Bollywood Actress and Director, said, ''What a superb initiative this is why must women be ashamed of their shape or size? Embrace who you are and what you are, confidence is all that matters to carve your identity and niche. Designer clothing should come in all sizes why just for a certain body type?
