She is a Registered Nurse with ten years of experience in her field and extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, including emergency room nursing, long term care, and training. Latoya is currently serving patients at Regina Qu''Appelle Health Region - Grenfell and Distract Pioneer Home in Grenfell, Saskatchewan, Canada, which provides high-quality long-term care services.
Latoya attended Montego Bay Community College /University of the West Indies in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and received a certificate of preliminary studies in 2002. She then went to University of the West Indies, Mona, School of Nursing, through Brown";s Town Community College in St. Ann";s Bay, Jamaica, and acquired her bachelor degree of science in nursing in 2005. In 2007 she specialized in emergency room nursing at the University Hospital of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. In 2017, Latoya will receive her master degree of nursing with Primary Care Nurse Practitioner concentration at The University of Regina in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Latoya is also a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and active member of the Emergency Nurses Association, which allows her to remain within the scope of her profession. She feels that her success is attributable to having struggled as a child. Now, she wants to give back and to be a better version of herself. When she is not working, Latoya enjoys cooking and hiking.
