WORLD NUCLEAR EXHIBITION, THE GLOBAL BENCHMARK EVENT FOR THE CIVIL NUCLEAR INDUSTRY


(MENAFNEditorial) Resolutely international and business oriented, the 2016 World Nuclear Exhibition will be a special occasion that is highly anticipated by professionals, focusing on the theme of "the civil nuclear industry in the global energy mix". For three days, a content-rich program will let visitors and exhibitors discuss the most innovative solutions and products with top international experts: COMPREHENSIVE PANEL DISCUSSIONS The real highlight of the exhibition, 11 round tables (6 in 2014) led by leaders of large companies, international experts and spokespeople will set the tone throughout the three days of the exhibition, during the morning and afternoon sessions. THE SECTOR'S EXCELLLENCE AND THE INDUSTRY'S EXPERTISE GIVEN OF PLACE The desire to promote the sector's excellence and industrial expertise is a key part of the 2016 exhibition: The WNE Awards, a new feature 2016, will be held in the first evening of the exhibition, and will reward innovative projects in four key areas: innovation, nuclear safety, skills management and operational excellence. Four renowned international expert juries will be chaired by Bernard Bigot, Managing Director of the ITER project (innovation jury), William D. Magwood, Managing Director of the OECD's Nuclear Energy Agency (nuclear safety jury), David Drury, Technical Head of Management of Human Resources for the IAEA (skills management jury) and Jacques Regaldo, President of the WANO (operational excellence jury). "The Innovation Planet", will fast-track new-technology start-ups in the 3D, information systems, engineering, logistics and medical fields. THE BUSINESS AND INTERNATIONAL, DNA OF WNE The Buyers' Club "Business Meetings": the 4,000 targeted appointments that are organized will bring suppliers, users, buyers and contractors together Technical exchange and networking via Workshops: in two dedicated areas, exhibitors will host around sixty technical/sales workshops in which they will present their expertise and technologies to professionals from the sector The "Business Opportunities" sessions will, each afternoon, let countries and institu-tional representatives submit their civil nuclear projects and industrial needs THE EMPHASIS ON TRAINING The "Training Planet" will bring together the bodies specializing in civil nuclear training and will orchestrate information sessions for countries with specific needs on the subject. The student day: on the last day of the exhibition, stakeholders from the French and international nuclear sector will meet with students of all levels of study to present opportunities to them in terms of careers, training and employment. SIDE EVENTS The Win Award, awarded by WiN Global to a female specialist from the sector, on June 29 at noon. The Fem'Energia Prize, to encourage and financially support female students and professional women who are passionate about the nuclear sector will be awarded by EDF in partnership with WiN France, WiN Europe and the EDF Foundation, on June 30 at 12:30 p.m. The "Innovatome" contest, an initiative from the Young Generation group of the French Nuclear Energy Society ("SFENJG") which is aimed at students from all fields, will honor innovations in three categories linked to changes in society: digital, ecological transition and health/safety/ well-being. The award will be presented on June 30 at 11:45 a.m. The "Spark! Contest", under the patronage of Jean-Bernard Lévy, CEO of EDF, asks young people under the age of 28 worldwide to think innovatively about a topic related to energy. This award will be presented on June 30 at noon. Atoms For the Future, Time in nuclear Energy, an annual symposium about the nuclear sector organized by SFEN Young Generation (SFENJG) for students and young professionals from around the world, will be held on June 27 to 30 2016. SITE VISITS On Friday, July 1, visits to nuclear power plants, research centers and factories of the WNE exhibitors will conclude this week of world civil nuclear power.
