(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ankara, May 28 (QNA) - The Turkish Center for Strategic Economic Policy Studies "TASAM" has awarded Commander of the Strategic Studies Center of the Qatari Armed Forces Maj Gen. Sanad Ali Al Nuaimi the "Strategic Vision Award" of 2016.
Maj. Gen. Al Nuaimi is the first personality of the Gulf Cooperation Council to be nominated and awarded this prize.
The Strategic Vision Award is an annual prize granted by TASAM in recognition of institutions or personalities chosen by a known jury, based on a set of standards. It is a long process that takes more than a year, beginning with the nomination of persons for the award, and then subject them to the award criteria, and then the final choice between the candidates.
The award is of great interest in Turkey, especially in academic, political and media circles, where the president or the prime minister is keen to attend and deliver the awards. The prize was awarded to Turkish prestigious personalities such as former Turkish President Abdullah Gul. (QNA)
