Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) will open two permanent lanes that are 2.5km long on Mesaieed 1 Road which is the link road between Hamad Port and the Temporary Truck Route (TTR).

The permanent lanes are in the direction from TTR to Hamad Port and will replace the two existing temporary lanes starting from tomorrow.

Traffic on the two lanes in the opposite direction will be diverted to one temporary lane for 14 days from May 2 until May 16 as shown in the map.

The exact location of the traffic change is about 500 metres to the west of the new roundabout that connects Mesaieed Road the New Hamad Port and the entrance to Mesaieed Industrial city.

Traffic diversion on part of Mesaieed 1 Road is required to facilitate construction of the New Orbital Highway (Orbital).

Orbital forms a fundamental part of Ashghal’s Expressway Programme to build an international standard highway network that will significantly transform road travel within Qatar.
