ABU DHABI 1st December 2015 (WAM)--H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan National Security Advisor has paid a glowing tribute to the founding fathers who established the UAE and hoisted the UAE flag declaring to the region and the world the birth of a new state.

In his statement on the 44th national day anniversary to the Nation Shield Magazine he hailed the UAE sacrifices in support of the sisterly state of Yemen.

Following is the full text of statement: "On this day 44 years ago the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Rulers of the Emirates raised the flag of the UAE declaring to the people of the UAE the region and the world the birth of a new state. Emiratis faced over years challenges and difficulties until they reached the current cohesion and identity and built a strong state.

This made us proud about the Union and renews our commitment to preserving it thanks to the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for advancing the aspirations of citizens.

The commemoration of the 44th National Day Anniversary carries fragrant of the national identity in terms of fundamentals and structure. This new dimension is manifested in the phrase "New Spirit" of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

Yes it is a new spirit felt lived seen and embodied in each and every one of us. It exceeds public talk to a perceived reality action and experience.

This year Emiratis both leadership and people are offering great sacrifices to uphold the rights and to stand by the neighbour and brothers in crisis and plight. If there is anything we have all learned from our involvement and support to Yemen it is such a participation we all cherish to ensure the security and stability in the region in particular and the world in general.

We have seen how all Emiratis overcome the feelings of grief sorrow and pain of losing a constellation of the finest sons who sacrificed their lives alongside their brothers in the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia to tell the world that the people who built and made the miracle of modern development are the ones who go confidently to the battlefields responding to the to the calls of duty right and humanity.

These values have come together to paint a successful model. Despite world's economic crisis the UAE has been ranked among the top countries in the global development indicators. It is also taking part in the international coalition against terrorism or against those who tried to confiscate the will of Yemen and steal its authentic Arab identity.

We do not forget the significant achievements of the UAE this year when it enacted the anti-discrimination law and rejection of hatred without forgetting the law fighting terrorist crimes and the listing of terrorist organisations.

All these prove we are worthy of the challenge regardless of intensity. With our strong resolve will prevail with the inspiration by the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan "may God protect him" who follows the path of forefathers to notch its position in the region and the world.

Emiratis are all entitled to salute this year's national day with more pride and also hope. They build invent ideas and launch initiatives and solutions at home as our valiant armed forces rise to the occasion with their courage and sacrifices to draw a bright future and glory for the UAE.

On this occasion I extend my sincere congratulations to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and to Their Highnesses the Members of Supreme Council and The Rulers of the Emirates and to all the people of the UAE and residents on its territory praying to the Almighty Allah to bless the UAE on this occasion."
