Oman records 13.9 percent fall in inflation over Q2


(MENAFN) Oman's inflation of the producer price index (PPI) dropped by 13.9 percent over the three months to June period compared to the same quarter last year, based on recent reports.

Additionally, prices of oil and gas products logged a 15.7 percent y-o-y decline, while non-oil products prices deteriorated by 3.6 percent throughout the mentioned quarter.

Beverages and textiles also witnessed a price fall of 2.9 percent, let alone dairy products dipped by 10.7 percent and fish, fruits, vegetables too saw prices slumping by 4.5 percent.

However, prices of the mining, electricity and water subset logged a price rise of 1.4 percent, hence electricity and water prices rose 1.7 percent, while minerals subset slipped by 1.9 percent.
