Qatar- QU engineering students complete internship course at Doha Festival City

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Doha Festival City has announced the successful completion of its internship programme 2015 and honoured three engineering students from Qatar University.
The two-month exercise enabled future engineers to interact with innovators in the field, benefit from experts who helped them develop their potential with hands-on experience and shed light on their career options. "We are proud of the successful internship we have developed and grown for the second year," said Kareem Shamma, CEO of Doha Festival City.
The programme helps the interns gain work experience, develop new skills and refine others, as it benefits from Doha Festival City's wide breadth of expertise and experience in a multitude of engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, building and civil engineering. "The internship was so exciting especially when it came to site visits and learning about real life examples" said Sara Eid Abdel Hakim who participated in the internship.
"During the course of the internship, I developed better communication skills as I faced the challenge of dealing with a staff made up of many different cultural backgrounds", said Khulood Abdulwahab, an electrical engineering student who also took part in the programme.
Shahad Mohamed, another intern, believed that the internship has helped her work towards achieving her goals, as it opened new opportunities for learning more about her chosen major, with the support of Doha Festival City and experts in the field.
