Iraq- At least 11 Daesh Militants Killed in Anbar


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) 11 Daesh militants, some of them belonging to foreign nationalities, were killed in a pre-emptive attack against a hideout of the organization east of Ramadi city, in Anbar province in west Iraq.

An Iraqi security source said in a statement today that Iraqi security sources, supported by the Popular Mobilization Forces and tribal fighters, killed 11 Daesh members during a preemptive attack against a hideout of the organization in Hashiba area, east of Ramadi.

The source added that national security detachments, in cooperation with brigade 45 and Alexandria police, managed to arrest a detachment belonging to Daesh South Brigade after attacking their houses in Al Musayyab district, north of Babylon in southern Iraq. Rockets, different weapons and ammunitions were seized in the operation, the source said adding that Daesh militants fired mortar shells at different areas of Al Amiriya in Falluja injuring 13 people including children and women.
