Qatar- Network snag hits Doha Bank customers


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A large number of Doha Bank customers were affected as they were not able to withdraw cash or use cards for purchases due to a technical glitch yesterday.

Several customers said Doha Bank's ATMs across Doha remained "offline" since yesterday morning as the network was "inaccessible".

"I was inconvenienced because my salary was credited only yesterday. Because of month-end, I did not have much cash either. My Doha Bank cards did not go through at the POS in a leading hypermarket yesterday," a resident said.

Doha Bank said its nationwide network would be "restored at the earliest".
"The point of sale was the first to be restored and we have seen many POS transactions already today," said a senior bank executive.
