(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors)Sula Iron & Gold (LON:SULA) expects to report recent gold programme results from its Ferensola project in Sierra Leone in coming weeks as discussions continue it said in half year results to end March. The figures come from five trenches each over 300m long the results and are expected within three weeks it added. Looking ahead the mining group's chief Nick Warrell said: "The company remains on track to deliver on the objectives it set out at the beginning of the period namely to identify drill targets on our gold project and to advance our coltan project to the point where bulk sampling for metallurgical testing can commence. "Discussions with potential off-takers for our coltan are ongoing as are early stage discussions with potential strategic partners on our gold and iron projects. We expect to be able to report the results of the recent gold programme within the coming weeks and accordingly we look forward to the remainder of 2015 with optimism." The firm also noted that this month it had applied for a new exploration licence adjacent to the ferensola licence The loss for the six months was £0.89 million compared to a loss of £0.68 million in 2014. Shares eased around 6% to 1.475p.
