(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) A Liberian ship, on Monday evening, caught fire in international waters off the Aqaba coast, authorities said. Acting-director of the Aqaba Ports Corporation, Mansour Qouqazeh, said the vessel caught the fire before entering Jordanian territorial waters, adding that firefighters managed to put out the blaze.
Qouqazeh said the ship was bound for Aqaba to load phosphates, noting it will not allowed to be docked at the port for now.
