GCC FMs discussed relations with EU, regional unrest - Al Attiyah


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Qatari Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah said Saturday the just-ended coordination meeting of the GCC foreign ministers dealt with situations in Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen.
"We have discussed, in the presence of GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani, the agenda of the GCC-EU ministerial council meeting as well as the friendly relations with the EU members, due here on Sunday," he told reporters tonight.
"The discussions also covered the arrangements for the GCC-EU free trade area," he said, noting that the GCC top diplomats reached consensus on all issues raised.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah leads the Kuwaiti delegation to the GCC coordination meeting and the GCC-EU ministerial.
