Tourism minister, Egyptian ambassador discuss tourism relations


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Nayef Al Fayez, and Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan Khaled Tharwat, discussed ways to enhance relations in the tourism field.

The Egyptian ambassador extended to Al Fayez an invitation to participate in an international conference in Cairo, entitled "Cultural Heritage under Threat," that will discuss cultural, economic and security damages resulting from looting culture and heritage of the Middle East.

Arab foreign and tourism ministers and UNESCO Director-General, will participate in the conference to be held in May.

Tharwat also tackled tourism exchange between the two countries, the possibility of opening a direct air route between Amman and Hurghada and increasing the number of tourists coming from Egypt.
