(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HE the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Major General Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem and his accompanying delegation visited the Qatari forces who participated in the Operation 'Decisive Storm' and are now taking part in the Operation 'Restoring Hope' in Yemen, as part of the regional coalition led by Saudi Arabia.
The Chief of Staff and the accompanying delegation were greeted upon arrival at King Khaled Air Base in Khamis Mushait by the Commander of Southern Command in Saudi Arabia Major General Mutlaq bin Salem al-Azima.
The Chief of Staff of the armed forces conveyed the greetings of HH the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the Qatari troops taking part in the operations. He also conveyed to them the greetings of HE the Minister of State for Defence Major General Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah, praising the outstanding level of performance shown by the forces during operations .
The Chief of Staff and the accompanying delegation were also briefed on the progress of the Operation "Restoring Hope". He commended the co-operation and joint action between the armed forces of Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
