(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Recent economic data shows the US economy
expanding 'at a solid pace,' the rate-setting Federal Reserve says, according to dpa.
'Household spending is rising moderately; recent declines in energy
prices have boosted household purchasing power,' the central bank
says in its monetary policy statement. 'Business fixed investment is
advancing, while the recovery in the housing sector remains slow.'
The Fed says that with continued easy monetary policy, the economy
'will expand at a moderate pace.'
The Fed 'continues to see the risks to the outlook for economic
activity and the labour market as nearly balanced.'
