(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence General Directorate has appealed to the public, adising all families travelling during the holidays to make sure they close all electrical switches and not to leave any equipment turned on, in order to preserve the integrity of their houses, and others, during their absence.
Major General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Civil Defence Acting General Commander-in-Chief appealed directly to families to make sure they switch off lights as well as remembering to close all interior and exterior doors, so as not to facilitate the possibility of burglary or tampering with the house contents.
The call comes under an awareness campaign organised by the security media management department at the General Secretariat of the Office of His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior.
