Kuwait comes third in GCC Snooker, Billiard championship


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait came third in the GCC Snooker and Billiard championship, which concluded in Qatar Sunday.

Rapporteur of Kuwait Billiard and Snooker Committee Mohammad Al-Suleiman told KUNA that the players managed to snatch six medals - one gold, three silver and two bronze - in the different categories of the championship.

He pointed out that the Kuwaiti team was aiming to achieve the first place.

"But the absence of the snooker players had negative effect on the final result," he said.

The Qatari team came first followed by the UAE team at the conclusion of the nine-day event which brought together six GCC nations , Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman and hosts Qatar.
