Oman Oil subsidiaries sign USD44.15m deals with SMEs


(MENAFN) Oman Oil Company's (OOC) said that its subsidiaries and affiliates have signed 35 contracts with local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), with an estimated worth of USD44.15 million, Times of Oman reported.

The group also presented over 142 additional contracts exceeding USD1.29 billion in its projects the oil, gas and energy sectors to be bid upon this year, as well as highlighted the currently available business opportunities for SMEs within OOC and its group of companies' portfolio.

OOC said that signing these contracts is part of its strategy to engage with local and international investors to offer profitable business opportunities to SMEs as well as assisting them in meeting the requirements to be able to survive in the industry.

"We, along with our group of companies, support all national efforts that lead to developing a successful ICV program and we are confident that the propositions we have introduced and tendered will boost the investment climate in Oman and increase the country's competitiveness amongst developed countries," CEO of Oman Oil Company said.
