Kuwait- Pork, Dog Meat Sold In Fahaheel Supermarket


(MENAFN- Arab Times) A joint committee with officials from Ministry of Interior and Kuwait Municipality confiscated and destroyed 80 kilograms of pork and 250 kilograms of an unknown meat suspected to be that of dogs, reports Al-Shahed daily.

When the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from a secret source about the meats being sold in a commercial market in Fahaheel area, securitymen raided the store and confiscated the meats that were well covered but without any labels or seals. Officials from Kuwait Municipality were summoned to test the meat, which they affirmed was pork.

Meanwhile, Department of Food and Market Inspection at Capital Municipality raided Mubarakiya Souk and seized large number of expired beauty products and perfumed oils from one store, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

Security sources affirmed that the inspection campaigns were launched by an inspection team from the department during which the officials confiscated and destroyed 775 packs of creams and perfumed oils.
