Armenia, Iran in deal to construct third power line


(MENAFN) Local media reported that Armenia and Iran have agreed to start the construction of a third power line between the two countries in the next two to three months, Xinhua reported.

According to Russia's Regnum news agency, the energy cooperation deal was signed when an official Armenian delegation visited Iran, emphasizing the strategic importance of their cooperation.

Iran delivers gas to Armenia and receives electric power in exchange. Exchange of energy between them will grow by two to three times after the third line is put into use.
