(MENAFN- QNA) - Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic, Tammam Salam, left Doha this afternoon concluding a visit to Qatar.

The Lebanese Premier and the accompanying delegation were was seen off upon departure by HE Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, HE Qatar's Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Hamad Al Marri, and Lebanese Ambassador to Qatar, Hassan Qassem Najem.

- Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam described his talks with HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani as positive and constructive, saying he discussed issues of concern to the two countries and the region.

- HE President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Doha on Sunday evening, on a two-day official visit to the country.

He and his accompanying delegation were greeted upon arrival at Hamad International Airport by HE Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani, HE Qatar's Ambassador to Turkey Salem Mubarak Al Shafi, and HE Turkish Ambassador to Qatar Ahmed Demirok - Qatar Airways (QA) will welcome this week A380-800 aircraft into its rapidly growing fleet at an inaugural ceremony to be held at the Hamad International Airport September 18.

- Reach Out To Asia has launched its Adult English Literacy (RAEL) Programme to educate migrant workers and build their capacity to succeed in life.

The programme this year is in collaboration with the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar, Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar, Northwestern University in Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, as well as the Public Works Authority (Ashgal), ROTA said Sunday.

- Qatar Exchange index gained 20.34 points (+0.14%) when the bourse closed trading at 14,109.16 points here Sunday.

The trading value dropped to QR 553.320 Million from Thursday's closing at QR 656.517 Million. The traded volume increased to 12,116,354 shares from 6,089 transactions compared to 10,948,335 shares from 6,146 transactions on Thursday.(MORE)
