Oman's Haya Water investing USD258m annually to build projects

(MENAFN) Omani's Haya Water is set to invest an average of USD 258.92 million annually on different projects in the next decade, including the construction of sewage network, sea fallout system and sewage treatment plants, Times of Oman reported.

A budget of around USD5.69 billion has been envisioned for the implementation of projects between 2002 and 2025. However, 55 percent of the budget has not been committed yet.

Meanwhile, the company started using a sea outfall system, which is a pipeline transferring sewage water into the sea and would prevent areas from being flooded with sewage in the event of heavy rain, storm, or flood and is expected to play a key role in case of any emergency.
