Pakistan's petroleum output up 8.35 percent in FY13-14


(MENAFN) Pakistan's petroleum production increased 8.35 percent during the financial year 2013-14 compared to the output achieved a year ago, Oman Observer reported.

On an annual basis, Pakistan's oil production rose 1.31 percent in June compared to the last month last year, according to data compiled by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

The products that contributed to the positive production growth included jet fuel oil, up 6.36 percent compared to 2012-13, while the output of motor spirit (petrol) increased 5.58 percent.

Diesel oil and furnace oil also recorded a production rise of 52.08 percent and 9.48 percent respectively, whereas solvent naphtha registered output growth of 12.19 percent.
