Microsoft Finland finalizes downsize plan

(MENAFN) Microsoft Devices Group Finland finalized its downsizing plan, hitting the Finnish engineer community harder-than-expected with around 1,050 jobs lost, Xinhua reported.

The lost jobs are part of Microsoft's overall plan of cutting off an approximate of 18,000 ex-Nokia employees worldwide as part of its downsize plan which was announced in July.

A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that it has completed the talks with employees mandated by Finnish law, offering them financial support packages and assistance in career development.
