Etihad changes flight routes over Iceland

(MENAFN) Etihad Airways had to alter some flight paths following a partial closure of Icelandic airspace, Gulf News reported.

The partial closure was a result of the Bardarbung volcano, which the authorities in the country were concerned it might erupt soon, alarm level has since then been lowered.

Etihad said that it is monitoring the situation closely and has developed contingency plans for possible disruptions of future flights in case the volcano does erupt.
